Kathmandu, Nepal · Prototypes over PowerPoints
I’m Rabi Dahal — Embedded Systems Crafter | IoT & Automation Specialist. I like building things that move from concept to reality fast, whether it’s an algorithm visualizer, an automation prototype, or a small system that quietly solves a real problem.
About
I’m a science student, yes, but I don’t treat projects like assignments. I treat them like mini labs. I like taking one idea, building a rough version, finding what breaks, then rebuilding it cleaner. That cycle has taught me more than anything.
Most of my interest sits at the intersection of hardware, logic, and software behavior — embedded systems, IoT, automation, and algorithmic thinking. I’m not trying to look perfect right now. I’m trying to become dangerously capable over time.

Projects
I don’t just ship projects to complete a list. I use them to test ideas, compare approaches, and understand why systems behave the way they do.

qst is a Next.js app that turns real‑life activities into an RPG‑style game: players get AI‑generated quests tied to their hobbies and location, submit proof of completion, and earn XP and badges when over half of their friends approve the post. It uses Supabase for auth, database, and storage, and optionally the Gemini API for quest generation.

Rakshya is a personal safety mobile app offering one‑tap SOS, voice‑triggered alerts, live location sharing, ride monitoring, scheduled check‑ins, evidence capture, and encrypted messaging to trusted contacts.
In Design
I’m designing compact automation workflows that solve one sharp problem each: alerts, scheduling, or environmental response. Small systems, tight feedback loops.
Next milestone: first public demo.
Skills
Education
+2 Science (Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science)
Actively involved in sci-tech events, STEM projects, and collaboration-focused activities.
SEE GPA: 3.91
Participated in science expos, Red Cross volunteering, and public speaking.
Certifications
Python Programming
Ethical Software & Case Studies
Certifications are useful, but I care most about what I can build with them.
GitHub
I treat GitHub like a workshop wall — not everything is polished, but each commit tells a story about how I think, test, and improve.
